I just got back from a weekend long conference in Amsterdam. The place is unbelievably unique and I loved every minute of it. Imagine coffee shops allowing you to smoke grass without the fear of getting caught and taken to jail. It was a different world. I didn’t in case you are wondering. It could be fun I suppose but I didn’t dare do it.

People have different levels of addiction. Some are addicted to cigarettes, some to alcohol, and some to the real illicit drugs that could affect your life like no other. I could have tried it I guess, just because I was already there but I know my addictive personality and if I get started, who knows where I’ll end up. I’ve heard of stories saying that they simply tried it once and got hooked right from the start. I don’t want to be one of the people who tell that story.

But if you did, and you are having a problem with kicking the habit, there is a place called Drug Rehab. It’s an institution that could assist in helping you kick the habit. If you believe that you are ready to quit, and laid down the line – you can do it.

Addiction Treatment is available to anyone who wants to get out of the mess they’ve been entangled with. It’s not something that you can do on your own. If you are seriously ready for that second chance, check yourself in to a Drug Treatment Center . They have the expertise and the know-how to help you get your life back together again. It is supervised, it is controlled. Sometimes you just have to take that first step – - admit that you have a problem, and then get help.

Drugs and alcohol can be a terrible catalyst to aging as well. Have you seen people who’ve smoked all their lives? Their skin turns yellow from nicotine up to the tip of their fingernails. Alcohol can ruin your internal organs. You may not see it now but it’ll catch up on you someday.

Get help – they are waiting for you.

It is widely known that smoking causes wrinkles. Yes. As you deplete your blood flow into your skin while smoking, it deprives your skin of the needed oxygen and nutrients for your skin to thrive and stay healthy. Did you know that cigarrette smoke is an immediate and direct irritant to the skin?

If you smoke, you will have less collagen and amount of elastin in your skin. Collagen and Elastin are proteins that help keep your skin tight, elastic and soft. Not only that. If you’ve ever smoked before, you know that the smoke can irritate your eyes that results in squinting more which may lead to increased wrinkles around the corner of your eyes.

That is why if you have the courage to quit smoking today, do it. Smokers in the age of 30 has the same skin texture of those that are non-smokers in their 50′s. Imagine that.

If you need assistance in quitting, try Champix. It could help you quit and get off the habit. Champix contains the active ingredient varenicline tartrate which is a nicotine receptor antagonist. Varenicline attaches itself to those receptors in the brain that are normally used by nicotine and thereby fools the brain into thinking that it has received a dosage of nicotine. This satisfies the urge for a cigarette without the brain actually being fed nicotine. In other words, it fulfils the craving for a cigarette without being one.

Champix was first launched in the US as Chantix and has now been approved and launched in the UK as Champix. Champix has proven to be highly effective in all the trials it has gone through – the basic reason being it takes away the pleasure derived from smoking and the “rewarding effect” nicotine exerts on the brain.
